Description
A biorefinery producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from waste woody biomass from forestry operations.
The facility has a goal of producing 25 million gallons per year of negative-emission transportation fuels. It is located in Natchez, Mississippi.
The biorefinery uses renewable power and carbon capture and storage (CCS). Carbon dioxide that is produced in the waste-to-fuels process is captured and sequestered underground.
Long-term structured offtake agreements have been established for 100% of SAF with Southwest Airlines (15 years) and a MOU with IAG/British Airways (10 years)
