Cummins supplying electrolyzers for Canadian H2 plant

Design work and system integration is underway for the Niagara Hydrogen Centre with plans to bring the plant online in early 2024.

Atura Power has selected Cummins to provide an electrolyzer system for its 20 MW Niagara Hydrogen Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario, according to a press release.

Once completed, the project will be the second 20 MW electrolyzer installation for Cummins in Canada.

Atura selected the Niagara region for hydrogen production earlier this year, Design work and system integration is underway with plans to bring the Niagara Hydrogen Centre online in early 2024.

In addition to supplying industrial customers, hydrogen from the centre will be transported and blended into the fuel stream at Atura Power’s Halton Hills Generating Station.
