Fidelis files for Class VI well in West Virginia

The blue hydrogen facility, as proposed, will feed hyperscale data centers and greenhouses.

Fidelis New Energy subsidiary Capio Sequestration has filed for Class VI well approval in West Virginia.

The application concerns Capio’s Mountaineer project in Mason County.

The Mountaineer project is  is a lifecycle carbon neutral clean hydrogen facility and renewable microgrid designed to produce over 640 metric tons per day per train. The facility will feed hyperscale data centers and greenhouses, lowering the cost and environmental impact of food production, according to the Fidelis website.

Mountaineer is a participant in the Appalachian Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub or ARCH2.
