Description
A blue ammonia plant located at CF Industries’ Blue Point Complex in Ascension Parish, Louisiana.
The project includes a long-term blue ammonia offtake into South Korea.
CF Industries and POSCO are conducting a FEED study on autothermal reforming ammonia production technology. ATR technology, when combined with carbon capture and sequestration. The FEED study is expected to be completed in the second half of 2024, with a final investment decision to follow.
The plant is developed by a joint venture of CF Industries and South Korea’s POSCO Holdings.
