Description
Commonwealth LNG is developing an LNG export terminal on the U.S. Gulf Coast near Cameron, Louisiana.
The 9.3 Mtpa nameplate (9.5 Mtpa permitted) liquefaction and export facility on the west bank of the Calcasieu Ship Channel at the mouth of the Gulf of Mexico will have five 50,000 m(3) storage tanks and will be able to accommodate vessels up to 216,000 m(3) Gas supply is achieved with the addition of a 3.0-mile pipeline interconnected to two major pipeline systems with significant excess transportation capacity.
Commonwealth received FERC authorization on Nov. 17, 2022.
FID is targeted for H125. It was initially expected for H124. LNG production is expected to begin by the end of 2028.
Commonwealth will dedicate CO2 emitted from the LNG facility for a 20-year term to the Cameron Parish CO2 Hub.
