Description
A potential retrofit of some of the coal-burning units at PacifiCorp’s Dave Johnston coal-fired power plant near Glenrock, which is planned to be decommissioned by 2028.
Jupiter Oxygen, Glenrock Petroleum, and others have expressed interest in purchasing the plant and in equipping some of its units with CCUS technology.
In November 2022, PacifiCorp issued two CCUS RFPs, one for Jim Bridger Units 3 and/or 4, and one for Dave Johnston Unit 4. Proposals were due March 7, 2023, and PacifiCorp is evaluating information received.
