Description

Gibbstown Deepwater Port LNG Terminal, also known as Gibbstown LNG Terminal, is a proposed LNG terminal in New Jersey.

In April 2023, the US Department of Transportation denied a special permit sought by the project to transport LNG by rail to the facility. In April 2024, FERC asked Delaware River Partners if the project was still alive, given that it would not be possible to transport LNG by rail. The sponsors indicated that the proposal was still active, and that LNG-by-truck is being considered as an alternative.

The LNG would be transported from a liquefaction facility in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
