Description
FortisBC has an emergency reserve LNG facility on Vancouver Island with a 0.06 mtpa capacity.
In 2012, FortisBC developed an equity partnership with the Stz’uminus (Chemainus) First Nation and Cowichan Tribes.
The 20-hectare Mt. Hayes facility is located approximately six kilometers northwest of Ladysmith. The facility, supplied by FortisBC’s existing pipeline systems, holds 1.5 billion cubic feet of LNG.
