Description

Phillips 66 and Renewable Energy Group notified the Department of Ecology and Whatcom County in January 2020 that they no longer planned to build a large-scale renewable fuels plant in Ferndale, Washington.

The facility would have been built within the Phillips 66 Ferndale Refinery and would have processed fats, oils, and grease into as much as 250 million gallons per year of renewable fuels.

The project had originally been announced in 2018.
