Description

Lambda Energy Resources filed an application for a Class VI sequestration well in May 2024. The well would be the first in the state of Michigan.

Lambda is adapting its existing infrastructure to allow for storage of 160 million metric tons of CO2 capture from ethanol plants, cement plants, and natural gas processing plants.

The well application, which was submitted on May 8, centers on the Niagaran Pinnacle Reefs in the Michigan Basin, where Lambda has 180 legacy oil and gas producing reefs it has identified as carbon sequestration sites.
