Description

The conversion of Phillips 66’s San Francisco Refinery in Rodeo, California, into a renewable fuels facility.

The plant would no longer produce fuels from crude oil, but instead would make fuels from used cooking oil, fats, greases and soybean oils.

In June 2024, Phillips 66 said the facility reached its output rate target.

In August 2024, the project received $3.9m as part of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Fueling Aviation’s Sustainable Transition (FAST) discretionary grant program to accelerate and increase neat SAF production.
