A future CCS project on 26,000 acres of land along the Mississippi River industrial corridor, in Louisiana.
One Hub-class sequestration project comprised of three distinct sites with a cumulative storage capacity of over 500 million metric tons and identified collectively as Harvest Bend CCS.
In February 2022, Talos Energy announced that it had reached an agreement with a large Louisiana landowner to lease the acres. It also entered into a memorandum of understanding with EnLink Midstream to provide integrated CO2 transportation solutions in the region.
Talos will be the project manager and operator of the injection, storage and monitoring and will be joined by its partner, Storegga Limited.
In March 2024, Talos entered into an agreement to sell its subsidiary Talos Low Carbon Solutions, including its stake in Harvest Bend CCS, to TotalEnergies E&P USA.
