Description

A planned 10-ton-per-day pilot plant project producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel from Renewable Ethanol.

If the pilot works, the first commercial-scale SAFFiRE project is projected to start construction in 2027.

The project involves D3MAX LLC, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO), Southwest Airlines, NREL, LanzaJet, and other partners.
