Description

In February 2022, ExxonMobil announced it had made a final investment decision to expand carbon capture and storage at its LaBarge, Wyoming, facility, which started capturing CO2 for EOR in the 1980s.

The expansion project is expected to capture up to 1.2 million metric tons of CO2, in addition to the 6-7 million metric tons captured at LaBarge each year.

FEED for the expansion was completed in December 2021.
