Description
Summit Next Gen, backed by Summit Agricultural Group, is developing an ethanol-to-jet plant on the Houston Ship Channel, in the U.S. Gulf Coast region. The plant is expected to produce around 250 million gallons of SAF per year.
Burns & McDonnell and Honeywell are working on the engineering and design of the project.
In September 2024, Summit Next Gen announced the acquisition of a 60-acre site for the project construction and said it had raised the required capital to reach FID on the project by 2025. The plant was originally expected to reach commercial operations in 2025.
