Description

Vast Energy, an Australia-based and NASDAQ-listed concentrated solar power developer and fuels producer, is in the early stages of developing a project near El Paso, Texas. It’s the company’s first in the US.

The project would produce eSAF or methanol. To produce eSAF, Vast would use a solid-oxide electrolyzer coupled with the Fischer-Tropsch process, while the methanol distillation process would lend itself well to Vast’s ability to produce low-cost heat.
