Ten08 | Hybrid Blue-Green Ammonia Production Export Facility

Ten08 is developing an industrial-scale hybrid blue and green ammonia production export facility on the Gulf Coast of Texas with the goal of producing the most competitively priced ammonia molecule. The first phase, comprising 1.4 million metric tonnes per year of ultra-low carbon ammonia production, is expected to commence operations in late 2029 / early… Continue reading Ten08 | Hybrid Blue-Green Ammonia Production Export Facility

CF Industries | Yazoo City Mississippi CCS

CF Industries Holdings is moving forward with a CCS project at its Yazoo City, Mississippi, Complex that is expected to reduce CO2 emitted to the atmosphere from the facility by up to 500,000 metric tons annually. As part of the project, the company has signed a July 2024 definitive commercial agreement with ExxonMobil for the… Continue reading CF Industries | Yazoo City Mississippi CCS

Hanwha | INEOS | Low-carbon Ammonia Facility

Hanwha Corporation and INEOS Nitriles announced in June 2024 their intention to collaborate in a study for a low-carbon ammonia facility with carbon sequestration in the US, with a capacity of more than 1 mmtpa. The final investment decision is planned for 2026 with planned commercial operation in 2030.

TC Energy | MPC | Prairie Horizon Energy Solutions

The Prairie Horizon Energy Solutions was a potential clean hydrogen and clean ammonia production facility paired with carbon dioxide capture, transport and sequestration, and long-term H2 subsurface storage in Stark County, North Dakota. Marathon Petroleum and TC Energy shelved the project in August 2024. Partners were exploring the feasibility of installing 200 metric tons/day of… Continue reading TC Energy | MPC | Prairie Horizon Energy Solutions

Catalyst Midstream | Berthold Blue Ammonia Facility

In January 2024, Catalyst Midstream applied for a $10m North Dakota Clean Sustainable Energy Authority grant for the construction of a blue ammonia facility in Berthold, North Dakota. That’s in addition to $37.5m it requested from the North Dakota Development Fund’s Fertilizer Facility Loan Fund in September 2023. The facility would be capable of producing… Continue reading Catalyst Midstream | Berthold Blue Ammonia Facility
