The project allows for blended SAF storage at Phillips 66 Torrance Terminal, in California. Blended SAF from the terminal can be transported to five airports in California, Arizona, and Nevada via pipeline. In August 2024, the project received $6.2million as part of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Fueling Aviation’s Sustainable Transition (FAST) discretionary grant program.
The project includes the installation and integration of multiple components of a SAF pipeline transportation system originating at Alt Air World Energy LLC, in Paramount, California. The pipeline will deliver the blended SAF to Los Angeles International Airport.
