Cemvita to supply United Airlines with SAF

United Airlines will offtake up to 50m gallons of SAF-from-cooking oil annually.

Cemvita Corporation has inked an offtake arrangement with United Airlines for up to 1bn gallons of SAF from its first full-scale SAF plant, according to a news release.

Cemvita will supply United Airlines up to 50m gallons annually for 20 years of SAF made from CO2.

This year United launched its UAV Sustainable Flight Fund. Cemvita was announced as part of the fund’s inaugural group of portfolio companies.

Last year Cemvita created a wholly owned subsidiary for its “Gold Hydrogen” business, Gold H2, and raised and closed a funding round led by Chart Industries and 8090 Industries.

The United Airlines Ventures Sustainable Flight Fund recently increased its investment commitments to nearly $200m and added eight new corporate partners.
