Big Hill | Texas Salt Dome Hydrogen Project

Big Hill Materials has an hydrogen production site with a salt dome planned in Bay City, Texas. As of June 2024, the project is not yet finalized. Hygreen Energy, the Chinese alkaline and PEM electrolyzer manufacturer, is in negotiations with Big Hill Materials to supply electrolyzers to the project.  

Hanwha | INEOS | Low-carbon Ammonia Facility

Hanwha Corporation and INEOS Nitriles announced in June 2024 their intention to collaborate in a study for a low-carbon ammonia facility with carbon sequestration in the US, with a capacity of more than 1 mmtpa. The final investment decision is planned for 2026 with planned commercial operation in 2030.  

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Hydrogen Hub

Plug Power Inc. along with Airbus, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), and Delta Air Lines have joined forces to study the feasibility of a hydrogen-based hub at the airport. Construction of a production facility near Jamestown, North Dakota, capable of 100,000 tons/year of green ammonia.
