NPN | Blue Ammonia Grand Forks Plant

A blue ammonia facility located in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and developed by Northern Plains Nitrogen. The project has a CCS partnership with Summit Carbon Solutions according to which it will capture 500,000 tons per year of carbon dioxide emissions, which Summit Carbon Solutions will transport and store permanently in central North Dakota.

Yara | JERA | Gulf Coast Blue Ammonia Production Project

Yara and JERA plan to collaborate on blue ammonia production in the US Gulf and to produce more than 1 million metric tons per annum (mtpa). The plan is part of a MoU signed by the companies in January 2023.

CF Industries | Donaldsonville CCS Low-Carbon Ammonia

A CO2 dehydration and compression facility at CF Industries’ Donaldsonville Complex that enables the capture and permanent sequestration of up to 2 million tons of CO2 per year with CF Industries’ partner ExxonMobil, starting in 2025. CF Industries is investing $200 million in the project, which would produce blue ammonia.
